Liz Taylor's Amazing Auction

Liz Taylor's jewelry was auction off by Christie's.  There were some amazing prices with the total sales reaching $116 million.

The top piece was a a dog-chewed pearl necklace known as La Peregrina.  It was owned by 8 Spanish kings from1582 to 1808.  Richard Burton bought it for Liz in 1969 for $37,000. It sold for $11.8 million, smashing the expected price of $3 milllion.
